Not like I got them for free but a discount helps. Thanks 8five2. So I went to Mei Foo with a couple of friends on a day with drizzle here in Hong Kong. Less than 20 minutes into getting warmed up the rain came down a bit more and the metal ramps became quite slippery and well lubed.
Before I ate shit trying to ride somebody else's board after I broke mine doing this trick in the picture on the left. I tried a simple trick, slide out on the now soaked ramp right on my ass and got one of those nice hippers that either wakes you right up or sits your ass right down.
For me the session was over indeed. As I walked back from the skatepark to the MTR train I thought to myself...wow my feet are still feeling nice and comfy in my new Classics. They didn't fall apart at the seams either. Good solid design in the simplest of forms the way things should be.
If you can still find and buy a pair of them don't just walk around being all cool in them...take them out and skate.
Don't have a scale yet...let's say out of a 5 I'd give them a 4 (If they were free I'd give them a 5) A good buy indeed.
